Shoe Sole Cobbler's Rack: Handmade

Cobbler's Shoe Sole Rack
This is a shoe sole rack that was hand made by a cobbler. It is used to separate all of the different sizes and colors of shoe heels. It was designed to provide quick access to the stacks of soles. The cobbler would grab the sole at the bottom of the stack and would pull it out of the stack without disturbing the rest of the stack. The rack would be reloaded with heels by inserting them from the top.
The rack has over 130 heels that vary in size. They are either brown or black. The overall size of this rack is 34" wide x 8 1/2" tall x 3" deep. The divider to the far right is missing.
The pen used in some of the photographs is used only to provide a sense of scale. The pen is not included.
